At the Syracuse City Volleyball Club, we grow as athletes, students, and people together. For CITY Club’s inaugural 2023-24 season, we had two teams of 14U girls. Our 27 athletes practiced twice a week and played in tournaments on the weekends from January to May.
CITY Club placed in the gold bracket in every tournament that we competed in. It’s imperative that we uphold the same gold standard that we have on the court within the classrooms and greater community too.
Students participate in journaling activities and engage in team circle talks that explore topics like leadership,self-confidence, and persevering through stressful situations. Coming this season, all players will need to have good school attendance and grades to participate. Group study sessions and individualized tutoring is available.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we operate due to the generous grants and donations from our community partners and public support. Our donors see the rich benefits that accessible youth sports have on Syracuse youth.
We are a nonprofit by the community, for the community. This support means everything to us
You can be confident that every cent donated goes directly to providing opportunities to our kids because our entire leadership team, including our founders and directors, work on a volunteer basis.

CITY club believes there’s a reason why student comes first in the term “student-athlete.” In order for players to participate on a team, they must be in good standing academically.
This means that players must be passing their classes. If a student is having difficulties, they must be actively engaging in an improved performance plan to get back on track, like tutoring or study sessions.
All players must also be attending school regularly. Any player that is considered chronically absent by NYS guidelines (missing over 18 days in a school year) is not eligible to play in club competitions.
